The iPhone 6's key features and specs are in sync with the previous leaks and rumors but it was also claimed to be water and dust resistant with up to 128 GB internal memory.

While the 128 GB variant was speculated to only be for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, it appeared to be for the two iPhone models.

The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 with 16 GB storage starts at US$199 on a contract while the 64 GB variant increases the cost to US$299. The iPhone 6 128 GB variant is said to cost US$399.

Meanwhile, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus entry level 16 GB costs US$299 on contract. The 64 GB variant is priced at US$399 and the 128 GB increases the price to US$499.

Its predecessor iPhone 5S is now down to US$99 while the iPhone 5C remains free with a new two-year contract.

The larger iPhone 6 will be on store shelves on the same day that the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will be available to customers, according to an Apple Insider report from French blog iGen.fr.

This means the 5.5-inch variant will be out on Sept. 19.

The device will be available for actual purchase on the third Friday of September and not only for pre-order.

The bigger device is said to be available in limited quantities. Apple needs to sell the iPhone 6 Plus in spite of supply issues that could be worsened by stock problems in the first months of availability.

This is true for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 as well.
