Alibaba Tops Smart Car Race With RX5 Internet Connected Car

With top tech companies like Google, Apple and Tesla struggling to develop their own driverless car, Chinese tech giant Alibaba took a different route and instead launched what it claims is the first Internet connected car, the RX5 sports utility vehicle.

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba has officially launched it's first ever connected car. The project was carried out in collaboration with Chinese automaker SAIC. The development of the connected car took two years to complete and cost $160 million.
