Chinese Tomb Raiders Apprehended, Relics Worth Over $80 Million Recovered

Officials at the Ministry of Public Security have announced the arrest of 175 grave robbers and the confiscation of up to 1,168 ancient relics. Government authorities estimate that the recovered relics have a combined worth of more than $80 million (500 million Yuan).

The Beijing Institute of Cultural Heritage announced on Sunday the recent discovery of a 70-hectare archeological site with artifacts covering three Chinese dynasties.

Greek archeologists are waiting for results of DNA testing done on the bones of two persons they discovered in southern Greece in 2003. Besides the age of the bones, estimated to be about 5,800 years old, what's interesting about the couple is that they appear to have died embracing.
