NFL News: Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers Organize Joint Practices For Training Camp

The Miami Dolphins and the Carolina Panthers have agreed to hold two joint practice sessions to be held at the Wofford College grounds in Spartanburg, South Carolina on August 19 to 20, as per the Dolphins’ official website.

NFL Draft 2011’s first overall pick Cam Newton recently signed a five-year contract extension with the Carolina Panthers worth $103 million. Included in the deal is a $60 million guarantee and a $67.6 million disbursement during the first three years, as per the league’s official website. The Panthers’ starting quarterback will now be receiving a yearly salary of a little more than $20 million, which is more or less 400 percent higher than what he previously earned.
