Weibo Dominates Chinese Live Video Streaming Market

Just like its international counterparts like Facebook Live and Periscope, China's major social networking platform Weibo is also cashing in with its live video streaming feature. Between April and June, Weibo users created more than 10 million live broadcasts, a surge of more than 116 percent compared to its performance within the first three months of the year.

Social networking giant Facebook has started rolling out its Live Video streaming feature to several regions outside of its native United States. The feature was first introduced as an exclusive feature for selected iOS users and celebrities, but it eventually found it way on many more iOS devices. Recently, Facebook announced that it is rolling out the feature to 30 more countries and added that it will also roll it out on the Android platform.
