An Anthony Davis-DeMarcus Cousins swap could possibly happen in midseason, according to the latest NBA trade rumors.

Davis, 23, is reportedly "frustrated" with the New Orleans Pelicans' current status, being winless in its first six games this season following the team's 112-111 overtime home loss to the Phoenix Suns on Friday.

The three-time NBA All-Star and two-time NBA blocks leader had expressed his disappointment about what is happening with his squad after the Pelicans' 117-113 defeat to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, also at their home court of Smoothie King Center.

"Definitely frustrating," said Davis, via ESPN. "We can't get a win. It's frustrating."

That disappointment seemed to be reaching a boiling point, according to the recent NBA trade rumors, as New Orleans lost their next two games despite Davis being his usual dominant self.

Some reports even said it is only a matter of time before 2012's first overall pick request for a trade to move forward with his young career.

Inquisitr reported that a three-team deal with the Sacramento Kings and Boston Celtics could take place during or before this season's February trade deadline if the Pelicans will not be able to turn around their current campaign.

According to the report, the terms of the deal is as follows: Davis goes to the Celtics, DeMarcus Cousins, Jaylen Brown, and a 2018 first-round pick go to the Pelicans, while Marcus Smart, Kelly Olynyk, Quincy Pondexter, and a 2017 first-round draft choice go to the Kings.

New Orleans seems to be getting the better of this hypothetical scenario as it will not only land Cousins, but also a rookie with high potential in Brown, not to mention the addition of a valuable future first-rounder to continue the team's rebuilding efforts.

It is worth noting, though, that the deal is not approved by ESPN's NBA Trade Machine since the salaries of the players involved do not match.

Still, the probability of Davis getting traded before this season's deadline is getting higher as each game passes so it would be interesting to watch how this saga will unfold soon.
