The Oklahoma City Thunder are reportedly planning to trade Enes Kanter to the Toronto Raptors for Terrence Ross and Patrick Patterson.

Toronto is said to be looking for a big man to reinforce its frontcourt after the exit of former starting power forward Luis Scola and backup center Bismack Biyombo during the summer's free-agency period.

The Raptors acquired Jared Sullinger in the summer with the intention of making him a starting power forward, but the former Boston Celtic suffered a foot injury during the preseason games. Sullinger is still currently sidelined with no timetable yet for his possible return.

The setback left Raptors head coach Dwane Casey with only two options at the number four spot, namely rookie Pascal Siakam and veteran big man Patterson. The two players rotating in the said position are said to be not enough for the team to challenge the Cleveland Cavaliers for the best record in the Eastern Conference.

Toronto is searching for a frontcourt reinforcement, and there are rumors that Kanter is one of the team's main targets at the moment.

According to the Inquisitr, the Raptors are willing to send Ross and Patterson to the Thunder in exchange for the Turkish big man, who is currently playing as a backup to Steven Adams in Oklahoma City.

ESPN's NBA Trade Machine has approved the said deal as the combined wages of both Ross and Patterson is almost identical to that of Kanter.

Kanter is averaging 12.4 points and 7.1 rebounds in only 19.0 minutes per game for OKC.

Ross and Patterson are also highly valuable bench players for Toronto, and some analysts have said that Toronto's second unit might get thinner if the team decides to deal both players.

OKC is reportedly ready to let go of Kanter with the emergence of young center Joffrey Lauvergne, who seems to be ripe for an increased role in the Thunder's bench.

However, this deal is not likely to happen as it has the potential to create more problems for both the Raptors and Thunder than solve their current lineup issues.
