Justin Bieber has taken his situation to his Twitter account as he noted on Wednesday night that he busted his ear drum from cliff diving and that the doctor said the injury might cause him a surgery. He was apparently at the hospital when he tweeted about the accident.

The 20-year-old singer was said to have been involved in the activity called "tombstoning" when the incident happened. Sources say that the perforated tissue in his ear that was damaged needs to be repaired.

Questions regarding the injury of the singer have been swirling such as the long-term effects of the injury and what would the procedure be.

According to a doctor, Dr. Barry M. Rose M.D., Bieber ruptured the tympanic membrane of his ears that was caused by a huge impact or when one dives into the water. The surgery suggested was called tympanoplasty. The procedure is said to be getting a piece of tissue to seal the hole.

Rose is an Anesthesiologist at the California Pacific Medical Center. He noted that although the procedure was simple, it should not be taken less seriously. He cited the death of Joan Rivers on Bieber's case.

As for the long-term effects of the procedure, Dr. Rose noted that there won't be anything major that could possibly affect the singer's musical ability.

Despite his tweets regarding the operation he needs to undergo and the unfortunate event he is going through, he still tweeted promising thoughts regarding his new music. He said in his tweet: "My ear drum might back us up a little but I'm still bringing you this new music. Much love. Damn u cliff diving!"

Minutes before that tweet, he also talked about the "exclusives" in his upcoming songs. He tweeted: "Got some exclusives on the fan club. We got a lot coming. No worries :)"

His fans have been worried about him and one even said that although his music was important to them, they would still want him to rest.
