Ed Sheeran admitted that he shouldn't have referred to Miley Cyrus' act as a "stripper move" after he watched her perform at the MTV Video Music Awards last year. The 23-year old singer-songwriter stated that he would be "f***ing livid" if anyone talked about him the way he did Cyrus.

"I was a bit of a c***," the singer shared, adding, "My general point was I wanted her to sing the songs so people could see what an amazing artist she is. I just worded it wrong."

Aside from admitting that he was wrong, Sheeran also shared that he has forgiven his former girlfriend Ellie Goulding for cheating on him. His song "Don't" is allegedly about Goulding hooking up with his pal Niall Horan of One Direction while she was still with him.

Sheeran said that once he wrote the song, he let go of all the anger he had and, that he is actually grateful that he has managed to create a song from the pain he went through.

He admitted that the said song is no longer about anyone anymore because he no longer feels an attachment to it, confessing that if he didn't let go and continued to think of his former love whenever he sang the song, he won't be able to perform it.

While asking for forgiveness from Cyrus and forgiving Goulding, Sheeran also takes a breath to defend her friend Taylor Swift who has been getting some hate for writing songs about her former flame Harry Styles.

Swift had slammed people for criticizing her for writing about her former boyfriends, but male singers don't get the same amount of slack.

Sheeran agreed with her close pal's statement, saying that Swift does have it a lot tougher than male singers. "No one talks about Bruno Mars' or my lyrics like that," he added.
