Taylor Swift Loves Kelly Clarkson's Take On "Shake It Off"; Admits She Was Bullied In School

32-year old "American Idol" alum Kelly Clarkson performed her own soulful take on Taylor Swift's hit single, "Shake It Off". Clarkson performed the song in Buffalo, New York to the wild amusement of her fans as well as to the delight of Swift herself.

Clarkson teased the crowd, saying that she was going to sing a soulful church song and, that it was one of her favorite songs at the moment.

Taking to Twitter, Swift posted a link to Clarkson's performance and wrote, "Watching Kelly Clarkson SLAY "Shake It Off" is an excellent way to celebrate 26 HOURS TIL 1989!!!!!!#TS1989'=".

Clarkson immediately replied to Swift's post, saying, "@taylorswift13 Love this song! Hope you like our gospel beginning ha! We had fun with it! Congrats on the new album coming out girl!"

Although Swift has millions of followers and fans around the world excitedly waiting for her upcoming album, the singer shared that she continues to struggle with insecurities.

She shared that she has finally come to terms with her fame and success and, that she is more confident now than when she was younger. However, she stated that she still feels inadequate sometimes.

She admitted to The Sunday Times newspaper that music has served as a vital part of her life, even when she was younger. The 24-year old performer said that her schoolmates used to bully her because she was so passionate about music and, she was determined to make it in the music industry.

Swift share that music "filled in the gaps when I didn't have acceptance at school, when I didn't have friends, because they just couldn't relate to how much I loved music."

She said she was never boastful about her love and talent for music, but her schoolmates were probably annoyed by the fact that she believed in herself.
