The Nexus 6 appeared on AT&T's online store for a few hours, showing a placeholder LG Vista with the price tag of $49.99.

The new Google Nexus 6 smartphone is making waves in the Internet because of its high-end specs but there's a bit of bad news. According to reports, the results of a custom battery life test reveals the Nexus 6 was beaten by the Motorola DROID turbo and Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Nexus 6 is a huge upgrade from past iterations. Its predecessor builds were inadequate and fragile. The upcoming version is premium and solid, owing to Motorola's craftsmanship with the Moto devices.

Nexus 6 is also a huge leap from the Nexus 5 when it comes to screen size, which now has a 5.9-inch viewing screen for improved movie playback, Web browsing and gaming experience.

Google packed the latest flagship smartphone with high-end specs but users need to adjust with its handling and patterns even if its transition is said to be easy and smooth. Google also included a killer camera in the Nexus 6 with upgraded software, megapixel and stock Android camera components.

It still pales in comparison against the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Apple iPhone 6. It's a bit of a letdown and a compromise for the device's otherwise complete package.

The latest Android 5.0 Lollipop is also said to be aesthetic just like the iOS 8 with an even wider range of options for users. One of the top advantages of Android over Apple is its ability to choose and modify. Nexus 6 also has a long battery life and can last two full days with moderate use. It costs US$649.
