'The Hobbit' Finale comes to China Cinemas

Academy Award Winning Director Peter Jackson presented the movie Battle of the Five Armies, the epic conclusion to the legend of Middle Earth, to Chinese theaters during a press conference in Beijing, China last Monday, according to Sina English News.

China was his final stop in his current world tour of promoting his films. In his first day of visit in China, the director was accompanied by the movie's screenwriter Phillipa Boyens and actor Richard Armitage, otherwise known as "Thorin Oakenshield" in the last installment of the Hobbit film.

The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit Trilogies earned enormous success in their franchise, which earned them millions of loyal Chinese fans as well.

The fans affectionately dub the director with the moniker, "Peter the Great."

Jackson was also presented with an appreciative token during the event.  'The Hobbit', which was written in Chinese calligraphy along with a stone carved seal engraved with Jackson's name wherein the director can sign his name.

"It's a big pressure to be great," the director said, expressing his gratitude to the fans. He also felt mixed emotions as he received the token and revealed that he felt "embarrassed" and "honored" at the same time.

The director's five previous films, starting with Lord of the Rings, have a user score of eight or more in China's popular media site douban.com thus earning a huge fan base.

"Tolkien's books are genuinely timeless and they are also borderless," the director answered in response to a question about the how the story appealed to a worldwide audience.

"His heroes are not noble knights or kings, the heroes in his books are normal people, ordinary people who make a difference in this world," the director further added.

The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies will hit the cinemas nationwide on Friday
