The Apple Watch event tomorrow will reveal a lot of the hidden pieces of the puzzle following up from the original reveal in October alongside the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

Features like battery life, wireless charging, waterproofing, fitness apps and price should all be talked about at the event, alongside a potential reveal of the 12-inch MacBook Air or iPad Pro although these are both slated later this year.

The price is the big one even though Apple announced the Watch Sport model will be available for $349 starting. The price for the Apple Watch with stainless steel and sapphire crystal glass is still unknown and the 18-karat gold Watch Edition has been priced between $3,999 and $9,999.

Apple is actually adding around $640 worth of gold to the Watch Edition and another $1280 if it adds a gold watch strap. At its lowest price, $2,999 will be the opening price for the Watch Edition, going up to $7,999, estimates Forbes.

The Watch Edition is essentially the same device but with 18-karat gold on the watch-face and a golden band. Even though Rolex can sell this type of premium watch, it might be hard for Apple to win over buyers.

That said, the market for actual gold iPhones is quite large already, especially in places like Dubai where people will pay thousands for a gold smartphone.

Some analysts claim the sell-by date of the Apple Watch will put off customers from spending thousands of the first edition. Apple has made 900,000 Watch Edition units, according to Taiwanese internal sources.
