When it comes to being the highest scorer in the Cleveland Cavaliers, Lebron James says that he doesn't mind lending the high scoring mark to Kyrie Irving. For a single game, that is.

James is very vocal with the support he gives his teammates. He has always been the first to say that he likes setting up his teammates with making buckets.

However, fans of the National Basketball Association (NBA) know that James is both a playmaker and a scorer. That's why The King has just topped his franchise's all-time marks in scoring and assists.

Those are just two of the many categories that James leads the Cavaliers. His overall dominance allows him to consistently rack up the stats throughout his games.

However, Kyrie Irving has stepped in and "borrowed" James' scoring record in the Cavaliers' game against the San Antonio Spurs.

Irving broke his single-game scoring record with a 57 point masterful performance. James on the other hand isn't worried about getting back that scoring achievement any time soon anyway.

Jason Lloyd, Cleveland Cavaliers sports writer for the Akron Beacon Journal and Ohio.com, posted on Twitter a comment from James saying that he didn't care about getting the scoring record back from Irving.

"I've got 15 other franchise records. I don't mind lending one," James commented.

The wording of James' statement means that he is only allowing Irving to possess the scoring record temporarily.

Everyone is aware that if James wanted to take the record back, he very well could. After all, it was barely a year ago when the four time Most Valuable Player (MVP) award recipient scored a whopping 61 points for the Miami Heat.

While it is definitely plausible, it may not happen as James is evolving into a different type of player.

He is now heading into a phase of his career where winning is more important than mere records.
