Dish Network's internet TV service, Sling TV, is performing well with over 100,000 subscribers in the first month of service in the the U.S.

To keep growing, Dish is expanding its supported products to include the Xbox One, Microsoft's latest console. It will go alongside HBO Go, Netflix and a host of other entertainment applications available on the Xbox One.

Microsoft will be offering three months' free trial of the service to customers that buy it from Microsoft's retail or online store. This offer won't extend to the Xbox One dashboard store, weirdly.

Sling TV will feature three new channels: History, History 2 and Lifetime. All three are included in the base package for $20 per month. The three channels join AMC for the end of March launch where Dish will add even more channels to the service.

TruTV will be available under a $5 per month. "Lifestyle Extra Pack" alongside TNT and TBS' 49 tourney games will be aired on Sling TV, with CBS carrying the additional 22 games.

This brings the total number of channels on the base $20 to 20 if you count Adult Swim and Cartoon Network as two different channels that air on the same number.

Dish is clearly focused on bringing more content to Sling TV, either through the base model or through a $5 per month premium. These $5 per month premiums do bring an al-a-carte feel to the TV service, which has been asked for by customers for years.

Apple is also working on an internet TV service, according to several reports. This service will be announced alongside Beats Music at WWDC 2015 in June.
