There are rumors surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles' quarterback roster this coming season. Is Matt Barkley out now that Tim Tebow is in?

According to Sid Saraf of Fox Sports, speculations arose during the offseason that the former USC Trojan standout is going to be traded away when the Eagles signed Tebow for a one-year contract in late April of this year.

However, as the Eagles' organized team activities continues in training camp, Barkley and primary QB backup Mark Sanchez are still taking turns in running the team's first and second units, with Tebow looking from the outside in. Starting quarterback Sam Bradford is still recuperating from an ACL injury he suffered in the previous preseason.

The 24-year-old Barkley seemed to be unaffected by the rumors about him and Tebow, saying that he was not competing for the team's third QB spot and that he only wants to give his best every time he is on the field, whether in practice or actual games.

With regards to Tebow, Barkley said that he surely "adds a level of competition" because of his athleticism, which is why he suggests that the Eagles has one of the deepest quarterback talents in the league right now.

The 6-foot-2, 227-pound former fourth round draft pick was said to be beaming with confidence during the OTA's, as reported by Matt Lombardo of the NJ Advance Media. This is despite of the internal buzz that the Eagles management are keen on keeping Tebow to play at the quarterback position.

Meanwhile, Tebow is just enjoying the second chance of playing again in the professional league. Out of the NFL for two years, the former Bronco, Jet, and Patriot is reportedly enjoying this year's training camp with Philadelphia, as per Darin Gantt of NBC Sports' Pro Football Talk.

Tebow remarked that football cannot be played forever, that is why he is making the most of every opportunity that comes along his way.

Eagles head coach Chip Kelly noted that Tebow's game has improved since his last stint with New England. Kelly also said that the team wants a "fourth quarterback", implying that they might not release or trade Barkley after all.

If that would be the case, then expect Philadelphia to boast off one of the deepest quarterback lineups this coming season.
