Keyeast Entertainment, the agency representing South Korea celebrity couple Bae Yong-joon and Park Soo-jin, firmly declared that the pair's upcoming wedding is not a shotgun ceremony. To make their statement better understood, the representatives threatened to take legal action against anyone who will continue to allege that Park is pregnant.

A case has already been taken to court against one media outlet that spread rumors of Park's alleged pregnancy following the announcement of her immediate wedding with Bae. While the agency has reached an agreement with the accused company, the pair's camp is keen to sue others who will continue to run the gossip.

The pregnancy rumor broke when Bae and Park publicized their engagement in May after officially becoming a couple only in February. With a fall ceremony as the initial plan, news of pushing the wedding to an earlier date of July 27 intensified the hearsay that Park might be already expecting.

"Bae Yong-joon told his friends that since he is already fairly old, he would have loved it if Park Soo-jin was pregnant. . . [but] Park Soo-jin is definitely not pregnant at the moment," one Entertainment Weekly reporter was quoted stating.

According to Bae's agency, the real reason for re-secheduling was due to the outcome of the discussion with the couple's parents. Park and Bae have also earlier expressed that they knew right off the bat that they are perfect for each other and marrying right away is out of the question. The lovebirds allegedly arranged to hold the wedding at Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel.

Bae is a major shareholder of the Keyeast Entertainment and was first acquainted with Park when she joined the agency in 2014. On the July episode of Entertainment Weekly, one reporter shared how Bae popped the question to Park. The 42-year-old actor initially planned to rent out a wedding hall where he would propose to Park. But with the outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in South Korea, he was forced to ask the 29-year-old singer's hand in marriage at his house in Seongbook village. The event was reportedly witnessed by close friends.
