Congratulations are in order for Jun Ji-hyun as the 33-year-old celebrity is confirmed to be pregnant. Breaking the news today was her agency Culture Depot, which told Korean media outlet Dispatch that the "My Love from the Star" actress is expecting her first child.

Through a statement released by the agency, it was announced that Jun is already 10 weeks pregnant but has kept her condition under wraps until the premier of her movie "Assassination" today, July 22. She has been married to banker Choi Joon-hyuk for three years now and the couple are expected to welcome their little angel early in 2016.

One close acquaintance of Jun revealed that the couple have been looking forward to this news since they have truly planned to have a child this year. According to reports, even family and friends were kept in the dark about the pregnancy until the release of Jun's latest movie. Another source explained in Jun's behalf that the actress wanted the public to focus on the movie instead of her condition, hence the secrecy.

"The movie is business and the pregnancy is personal. All the actors and staff worked very hard on the movie, and we were worried that the pregnancy news would steal the spotlight," Soompi quoted the source.

Despite her delicate condition, Jun did not fail to attend to her commitments, which include promotional events and 50 interviews with different media outlet. Her agency further stated that as long as her health would not be compromised, Jun will continue to promote the film Assassination. However, speculation about her possible break from showbiz to take care of her family is still unconfirmed.

"For the time being, Jun Ji-hyun will be focusing on her health and the baby. We sincerely thank everyone for their interest," her agency announced.

Assassination is set during the Japanese occupation of South Korea in the 1930s. Jun plays highly skilled sniper Ahn Ok-yun who was broken out of prison in China by Korean resistance activists to eliminate a Japanese army commander. Joining her in the riveting espionage action film were esteemed actors Ha Jung-woo, Lee Jung-hae, and Oh Dal-soo.
