The estranged member of the Korean-Chinese boy group EXO, Kris Wu, will star in a Chinese movie alongside Han Geng, also a former member of Korean idol group Super Junior, according to recent reports.

According to sources, Kris Wu will be starring in a new Chinese-Korean film entitled 'Xiao You Qiao Mu' with Chinese singer-actor Han Geng. Along with the two stars, South Korean actor Joo Won is said to be playing a role in the movie as well.

'Xiao You Qiao Mu' is said to revolve around the story of three men who are trying to compete for the heart of the same woman.

Kris Wu and Han Geng being cast in the same production has taken the attention of the public as the two stars have very common pasts with their managing company.

Kris Wu and Han Geng were both among the Chinese talents of the biggest entertainment outfit in South Korea, SM Entertainment. Both stars have left their boy groups, EXO and Super Junior respectively, on the height of their fame.

The two stars have filed lawsuits against the company for their unfair contracts. Han Geng has won the lawsuit in 2009 after claiming that the 13-year contract he had with SM Entertainment was unlawful and that profits that were gained from promotions that Super Junior has done over the years were not being justly distributed among the members.

On the other hand, Kris is currently processing his lawsuit with the talent outfit after abruptly leaving EXO in May. Kris Wu has claimed that the label wasn't considering his opinion and that the company was crossing the line with regard to his health.

"The company has treated me like a machine part or as an object of control rather than presenting a vision as an entertainer," Kris has stated. Kris has also claimed that he has been forced into constant financial problems despite being overworked for promotions in China and Korea.

Many say that the former EXO member is following Han Geng's footsteps especially now that he is more successful in China than when he was a member of Super Junior.

Kris is currently filming for his upcoming movie, 'Somewhere Only We Know' in Prague. The film is said to be scheduled for release February next year.
