Tech fans across the world are eagerly looking forward to the global consumer electronics and technology trade show Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016, which will run from Jan. 6 to 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The CES 2016 is expected to be bigger than ever with gamers from all over the world expecting significant changes in the gaming industry because virtual reality hardware will take center stage this year. Sony, HTC and Facebook have ready developed hardware such as PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, respectively.

According to reports, the CES 2016 will have 80 percent more exhibitors than last year's event because of virtual reality. It is an indication that VR will be the focus of CES 2016.

Along with virtual reality, augmented reality will also take the spotlight, but details are still unannounced. Electric vehicles, driverless cars and hi-tech vehicle interiors are expected to be launched at the event with several wearables including engineered fashion accessories and fitness tracking devices. Security software and drones are also expected to get some updates.

The CES events on Wednesday will include Sony's CES 2016 keynote with its gadget lineup and virtual reality surprises. The event starts at 9:00 AM Beijing time, 5:00 PM San Francisco time, 8:00 PM New York, 1:00 AM London time, 2:00 AM Berlin time, 4:00 AM Moscow time, 10:00 AM Tokyo time and 12:00 PM Sydney time.
