Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC is a professional Chinese football team that currently participates in the highest tier of professional football in China, the Chinese Super League.

The Blue Devils (Shanghai Shenhua's football club moniker) are based in Kangqiao, Shanghai. Their home stadium, the Hongkou Football Stadium, has a seating capacity of over 33,000.

Shanghai Shenhua is reportedly also in talks with the Sunderland to acquire the Scottish striker Steven Fletcher. The player is in the final year of his contract with the Premier League club.

Chinese outfits have been very active in enticing South American and African players to move and to continue their football career in China - raiding the Brazilian's Serie A and the Italian's Serie A with lucrative offers that are very hard to resist.

Due to higher salaries and the improved standard of the Chinese Super League, China has become an increasingly alluring destination for many international players and coaches.
