The NBA trade deadline is right around the corner and with it comes a lot of trade speculations hovering over the league. One of the latest trade rumors has mentioned All-Star center Al Horford being shopped around to interested teams by his current squad, the Atlanta Hawks.

Horford is in the final year of his five-year, $60 million contract signed with Atlanta in 2011, which would make him an unrestricted free agent this summer.

There are rumors that the 29-year-old starting Hawks center is planning to leave the franchise when that time comes, especially if the team will not give him "a long-term maximum extension".

With that premise, Hoops Habit suggested five teams that should trade for Horford and one of the scenarios proposed is a three-way deal involving the San Antonio Spurs and Milwaukee Bucks.

The deal looks something like this: Horford goes to the Spurs, the Bucks receive two of San Antonio's premier veteran big men Boris Diaw and Matt Bonner, while the Hawks get Milwaukee's O.J. Mayo and the Spurs' Kyle Anderson and Jonathon Simmons.

Anderson and Simmons are two young players that have a lot of upside and potential which could be beneficial to Atlanta's rebuilding efforts while Mayo is a proven veteran scorer that could replace the scoring slack Horford would leave behind.

With the crafty Diaw and resilient Bonner, the Bucks will obtain "veteran leadership" that would take the young trio of Greg Monroe, Jabari Parker, and Michael Carter-Williams out of the doldrums of the Eastern Conference and further up its standings.

Finally, San Antonio gets Horford, who is said to be "100 percent San Antonio Spurs material" with his hard-working, obedient, team-oriented, and mild-mannered approach to the game.

While it may seem unnecessary for the Spurs to have Horford because of the presence of LaMarcus Aldridge and David West, it should be noted that West is already 35 years old while Aldridge is still adjusting to Gregg Popovich's system.

Plus, the team needs someone who can spell their aging superstar, Tim Duncan, for long stretches of the season, and Horford seems like the perfect man for the job.

There are so many other intangibles in Horford's game that makes him perfect to the "San Antonio Spurs way" and so it would not be surprising if the Spurs will try to snag him if he becomes available.
