Former NBA player Delonte West was reportedly spotted wandering around barefoot in a Jack In The Box parking lot wearing a hospital gown last weekend after a fan took a selfie with him and posted it in social media.

Yahoo Sports reported that "the eight-year NBA vet was seen loitering around a Jack In The Box parking lot in a hospital robe and without his shoes". A supposed to be fan of the player said to have approached him, took their picture, and posted it on the internet, a photo which reportedly went viral.

According to TMZ, the fan asked if he is the estranged NBA player, to which the former Dallas Maverick replied, "I used to be but I'm not about that life anymore." The fan probed further and asked what happened, and West said to have simply responded, "life".

The 32-year-old former Saint Joseph's standout played for eight seasons in the league with career averages of 9.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.6 assists most of the time as a backup point guard.

He spent his first three years in the NBA with the Celtics, before Boston formed the then Big Three of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen. He was part of the trade that sent Allen to the Celtics in July 2007.

West was most famous for being a teammate of LeBron James with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2008 to 2010. When James was traded to the Miami Heat in 2010, West was also dealt to the Minnesota Timberwolves at the same time but was waived immediately after the transaction.

He returned to play for the Celtics in 2010-2011 and had off-court issues, which led to him being waived again before signing with the Mavericks, his last NBA team, in December 2011.

Off-court issues continued to follow him and they eventually affected his on-court plays, making Dallas release him in October 2012 and he has been out of the NBA ever since.
