With a probable conquest in the presidential seat, Republican Senator Rand Paul called Democrat Hillary Clinton a "war hawk," whose stance on the U.S. military intervention in the Middle East crises can most likely scare voters on the 2016 national elections.

During an interview aired on NBC's Meet the Press, Paul said that if the opposition party decides to nominate Clinton as president, 2016 is going to be a "transformational" election. The 51-year-old legislator from Kentucky is a known critic of Obama's program favoring military actions in Syria.

The said Middle East foreign policy aims to control the rise of Islamic movements and disintegrate violence against humanity that is perpetuated by other terrorist groups in the region.

Paul added that the Democrats fear his possibility of running for the highest electoral position in the country given his premise that Clinton's "gung-ho" attitude would set the fire to Middle Eastern war.

Back in 2012, four Americans were killed in an attack at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. The said conflict, which he termed as "Hillary's war," was mishandled and should be used as a basis for her disqualification.

In contrast, Michael Czin of the Democratic National Committee said that Paul's stand on counter-terrorism is debatable, describing it as a "fringe and isolationist vision." He further added that withdrawing U.S. troops in Middle Eastern countries including Israel would result into a global crisis that will affect millions of people.

Currently, Paul ranks third in an average poll for potential GOP presidential candidates conducted by RealClearPolitics.com. He is behind other hopefuls like New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

Paul is an advocacy of a peaceful and non-interventionist reform to addressing global threats. But Republican representative Christie condemns his ally's proposition as a "very dangerous thought" especially that the country is still recovering from the September 11 attack.
