Alcatel OneTouch Xess 17-Inch All-in-One PC Will Run on Phoenix OS

(Photo : YouTube) The Alcatel OneTouch Xess is expected to hit stories in the US by the second quarter of this year.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Alcatel has announced that its latest device called the OneTouch Xess will run on Phoenix OS. The modified Android OS will allow users to take advantage of Google's OS with the functionality of a desktop.

The Alcatel's OneTouch Xess is a 17-inch all-in-one PC that was unveiled in September last year.  The device is powered by a MediaTek MT8783T 64-bit octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM on board. It comes with a built-in 32GB internal storage and has a battery capacity of 10,000 mAh, which is enough to deliver up to 6 hours of battery life and allow full HD video playback.

The other features that the device makes more interesting is the media content viewing and listening. The device comes with a 3-watt JBL stereo speakers and a pair of microphones.

"The device is one of our favorite new products because this big format is really family-oriented and has a multitude of uses at home or at work," Stan Hu, Alcatel's chief technology officer and general manager of innovation, said. "Users can use it to cook, by displaying your favorite recipes in the kitchen, watch movies, listen to music or play games with friends and family in the living room,"

The company reported that the OneTouch Xess 17-inch all-in-one device is perfect for various purposes. Aside from movie streaming, the device can also be used as a sketchpad by kids of all ages, displaying recipes while cooking in the kitchen and playing games with family members and friends.

In terms of the structure of the device, the OneTouch Xess sports a stainless-steel body with an impressive design and slim build. The device comes with a Smart Dock and a magnetic stylus for productivity-minded users.

The Alcatel OneTouch Xess is expected to hit stories in the US by the second quarter of this year.
