Perrie Edwards, a member of the popular girl group Little Mix is reportedly hurt and insulted by ex-fiancé Zayn Malik who has been making veiled comments about their past relationship.

The 22-year old singer and former member of One Direction called off their engagement in August last year, just a short while after Malik decided to quit the boy band. He has launched his own solo career and dropped his debut album "Mind of Mine" last month.

Malik is also dating one of the most sought-after supermodels, Gigi Hadid. While he is out and about enjoying and flaunting his relationship with Hadid Edwards is reportedly feeling extremely uncomfortable.

Every time Malik talks about the time they were together, Edwards feels "like he is tormenting her all the time," according to an insider who spilled the beans to Britain's Reveal magazine. The insider added that "barely a week passes without him making some veiled comment about not loving her and she's been pushed to the limit."

Though it simply may be a publicity stunt for Malik to help him promote his album, for Edwards, it adds insult to the injury as Malik keeps making out that their relationship was less than it was.

Edwards is also reportedly infuriated as she was truly in love with Malik and then simply decided to leave her in a snap. The source continued to say that Edwards feels like the former One Direction heartthrob is simply making those comments to impress Hadid.

In a January interview with Billboard, Malik seemed to throw shade at her former love. Asked about what he is looking for in a relationship, he answered, "I need a challenge." He followed it up by saying that he likes girls that are chunky in the nice areas.

"I like a fuller woman. I enjoy an intellectual conversation as well," Malik said. "Where someone can construct a sentence beyond what hair and makeup they're wearing, and talk about something political or about the world. I like an opinion," he continued.

Despite Edwards putting on a brave face, the insider revealed that she becomes emotional every time she sees Malik in the media.
