The Imperial Guards' Brazilian defender Ralf Teles scored the opening goal of the match at the 24th minute before Ivorian striker Jean Evrard Kouassi equalized it at the 31st for head coach Sven-Göran Eriksson's side off an assist by Argentine midfielder Dario Conca.

Beijing then scored the winning goal five minutes into the second half of play with a strike from local winger Zhang Xizhe coming from a cross by resident forward Yu Dabao.

It was the first home victory of Beijing in the season while the loss snapped SIPG's seven-game unbeaten run and five-game winning streak.

Shanghai remained at the third spot of the current league table, four points behind second-placed team Jiangsu Suning and seven points below league leaders Guangzhou Evergrande.

Meanwhile, Hangzhou Greentown settled to a 0-0 draw with lowly squad Liaoning Whowin FC at their home ground of Yellow Dragon Sports Center last Sunday, as per Soccerway.

It was the sixth consecutive winless effort for manager Hong Myung-bo's men although it put a stop to their two-game losing skid.

With that, the Green Giants fell to the 13th spot of the China top flight table, tied on points with Shandong Luneng and bottom two team Liaoning but has a superior goal difference of -4 than the two clubs.

The predicted result is a tough 2-1 win for Shanghai SIPG.
