A new set of leaked photographs of the Moto Z may have revealed one of the smartphone's vital features. The leaked photo suggests that Moto Z models intended to be released in China will use Lenovo's custom Android skin.

Several tech forums suggest that the Lenovo user interface will run on the Chinese models of the Moto Z smartphone. Based on the leaked photos, the device also lacks an app launcher on the home screen.

The interface also shows custom icons and a small search bar located on the top part of the home screen. The three navigation buttons are now smaller and do not take up the whole width of the screen, while the gear settings button is on the lower right side of the home screen.

The leaked photos may not be the final version of the Lenovo UI that will be used on the Moto Z. However, it does reveal that the interface will look more like Lenovo's current UI version, as seen on devices like the Vibe X3.

While the custom user interface of the Moto Z for China is making a buzz in the tech community, experts believe that Lenovo will not release the same custom skin for other markets. Reports claim that Lenovo will instead stick to its Moto Pure stock skin for Moto Z models released in markets outside of China.

The standard Moto Z model sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display. At its heart is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processer with 4GB of memory. Storage options are available in two models - 32GB or 64GB - and both support SD card expansion.

The Moto Z has a 13-megapixel camera, a fingerprint scanner, and a 2600mAh battery. Packed within an incredibly thin 5.2mm body, Lenovo claims that the Moto Z is the thinnest premium smartphone on the market.
