(Photo : Reuters) In an internal video sent out to Apple employees, Senior Vice President of Retail Angela Ahrendts revealed the Apple Watch would arrive in Spring 2015.

The Apple Watch launch date window just got smaller, with the video sent out to retail employees from Apple's head of retail and online stores Angela Ahrendts, revealing that the smartwatch will launch on Spring 2015.

This closes the gap from Apple's previous statement of "early next year" giving a smaller range of time. Apple could still delay the launch for a few months, considering the GT Advanced Technologies shut-down and loss of the main sapphire crystal supplier.

Several reports have noted Apple Watch was meant to come this year, but Apple had to delay the smartwatch, after the software team failed to complete the software. Apple Watch runs an entirely new OS, not a custom version of iOS for a smaller display.

Apple retail store "Genius" staff will be trained on how to sell the Apple Watch to customers. Ahrendts sees this as a large part of the buying process for a lot of customers, who may be unsure whether they want or need a wearable in their life.

Customers will be able to try on the Apple Watch and try several different bands in the store, to get the right feel for the smartwatch, before spending. If reported prices are accurate, customers are bound to want to get the right feel, before they spend $999 on Apple Watch.

The bankruptcy of GT Advanced Technologies does lower the amount of stock Apple will be able to ship in the first half of 2015. Apple is already searching for a new supplier and is prepared to invest time into finding GT Advanced ex-staff new places.

Sapphire crystal glass will be on the front of the Apple Watch, to make sure the screen does not break. Internal reports show Apple is interested in 15 to 30 million sales in 2015, larger than the whole of Android Wear currently, and higher than iPad sales this year.

This is an ambitious estimate from Apple, but it might be backed up by a huge advertising campaign from the company, to drive home the importance of a wearable for the average user.
