This weekend Grand Prix at Catalunya hosted by Monster energy will feature another exciting race that could define the placing of the rider fighting for the Championship.

After six grueling races Valentino Rossi stands on the top of the Championship Standings winning 2 races and a consistent podium finish while his teammate Jorge Lorenzo is 6 points behind him following 3 consecutive race wins.

Lorenzo is all set to pound again ahead of this weekend to get his first quadruple wins in his career as a Grand Prix rider. On the other hand, Marc Marquez's situation is getting uglier each passing race.

Coming off from an unlucky Mugelllo Grand Prix two weeks ago, where he got a bad Qualifying session that placed him 13th on the grid and then crashed out towards the end of the race, many people would think Marquez is already out of contention because he's already 49 points behind the leader Valentino Rossi, who was very consistent in the past 6 races.

As Lorenzo keeps on winning, Marquez has a big mountain to climb this weekend in Catalunya. Having said of that, his team is prepared to use a new exhaust and other parts in Barcelona as they hope to turn things around on race day. Finding solutions, some new ideas & try working well with the team will be a big key to this weekend race.

"33 points was already a lot to behind, 49 even more," Marquez told Crash.net. "But OK, we try. Now we want first of all to fix this problem for trying to ride in a good way and then we will see. But I will be the same Marc, so that means if in the next race I can win I will give 100% or event more."

Despite Marquez's poor showing so far this season, Lorenzo and Rossi addressed that it is not yet late for Marc to comeback. Sure, there still a lot of races left, and a couple of mistakes or an engine failure suffered by his rivals will bring him back to the title fight in a blink of an eye.
