The mighty camera company GoPro is all set to promote cube-shaped extremely portable and the smallest camera device GoPro Hero4 Session.

The camera has iconic changes in shape and weight, when compared to its other products, with 74 grams that is 40 percent lighter than Hero 4 Silver and Hero 4 Black.

According to CNET, the new design is much more user friendly and the device doesn't need any external protection for going underwater. The device is capable to remain active up to 10 meters of underwater.

CNET also claimed that the motive of converting to cube shape from the typical rectangle shape was done in order to impart the facility to rotate the camera at any angle. Mounting a camera has never been that easy as GoPro Hero4 Session is firmly attachable to helmet or any other rugged surfaces.

The price of the GoPro Hero4 Session is $400, same as the Hero4 Silver, but both of them have severe differences. Hero4 Session lacks the touchscreen facility but it is more compact and smartly designed compared to the Hero4 Silver.

Due to the smaller size, Hero4 Session does not have provisions for Micro-HDMI output and the battery is also non removable. The user will need a smartphone or the remote to change the internal settings of the camera. However, external microSD card allows for 64GB storage facility.

According to Engadget, due to the compact design, user might have to sacrifice the shooting quality but the versatile shooting experience will cover up the lacking issues.

Previously, square-shaped camera was released from Poloroid but it couldn't manage to grab the sale target. However, GoPro is very much hopeful that the stylish Hero4 Session will meet the users demand and will begin a new era as an extreme mounting device. The toughness and longevity of the device is beyond any doubt as the company states that it is one of the toughest mounting device available in the market now.
