New husband and wife Won Bin and Lee Na-young are expecting a tiny addition to their family, their talent agency confirmed on August 3. Eden 9, the couple's representative, issued a press release stating that Lee is pregnant two months after her wedding with the 37-year-old actor.

"Actress Lee Na-young and Won Bin tied the knot and became a married couple for life not too ago . . . The two cared [sic] for each other like any other couple and spent a very happy honeymoon. During this time they welcomed a new family member into their lives," Eden 9's statement read.

The announcement hinted on previous rumors that the pair had a shotgun wedding since Lee was allegedly already pregnant. In May, the agency had a handful of attempts to quash the allegation that Won and Lee were getting married soon due to an unplanned pregnancy.

"The one thing we can tell you is that it is not at all true that Won Bin and Lee Na-young got married because of premarital pregnancy. [Lee Na-youn] is not pregnant," Soompi quoted Eden 9's official statement.

With a reported attendance of more or less 50 guests at a country bed and breakfast in Jeongseon, the intimate wedding late in May further inflamed the speculations. Moreover, reports claimed that not one celebrity was invited to the event, which the couple's agency swiftly justified with the need to have a "wedding as quiet as possible." 

"We wished to share this [pregnancy] news with you all first before anyone. They promise to show more mature versions of themselves in the future through their work," the agency ended their press release.

Won started his showbiz career as a teen heartthrob in 1997. In 2000, he took on his breakout role in "Autumn in My Heart" alongside Song Hye-kyo and Song Seung-heon. Lee made her debut in 1996 and has since graced several commercials. They met in 2011 after joining the same talent management and confirmed being in a relationship in 2013. With their first born on the way, Won and Lee may not be able to return to their showbiz commitments before the year ends, contrary to Eden 9's statement in June.
