There is a "wild and crazy" trade rumor circulating the web right now following the injury of the Nuggets' Wilson Chandler and it links Denver's Kenneth Faried to Washington's Bradley Beal and Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant.

The speculations started with an article on the Mile High Sports website which cited radio show Morning Mayhem's Dan Williams predicting that "a wild three-way trade that sends Kenneth Faried to Oklahoma City where Kevin Durant would depart to Washington and send shooting guard Bradley Beal to Denver." Williams reportedly said that the trade scenario could be possible with "a bunch of coleslaw and mashed potatoes".

With that kind of deal, Williams said that Denver could finally get the high-profile "shooting guard they've lacked in years past" at the expense of workhorse Faried, who has been the subject of numerous trade rumors since the offseason.

The idea of the trade is based on the well-known intention of the Wizards to acquire their hometown hero Durant next summer when the 2014 NBA MVP becomes a free agent. It is unclear, however, how OKC would benefit from such a set-up as the Thunder would obviously turn down this deal from the onset even if there would be "coleslaw and mashed potatoes" on the side to sweeten the package.

However, with Durant allegedly getting injury-prone these past couple of years and Russell Westbrook ably and confidently filling in for the six-time All-Star, it looks like the Thunder would be better off rebuilding their team around the strengths of 2015 NBA All-Star Game MVP.

Recently, OKC head coach Billy Donovan said that Westbrook "can do anything", according to ESPN report. This indicates his total faith in the playing style of the 2008 fourth overall draft pick.

Building the team around Westbrook could certainly be a good move for the Thunder as the 27-year-old, eight-year pro has proven himself capable of leading the charge.

Meanwhile, RealGM Trade Checker has said that the three-way deal mentioned above "does not work". Maybe a few inclusions from Denver and Washington would make it push through, but OKC is definitely not going to give up on Durant this early.
