Ten-time NBA All-Star power forward Chris Bosh has been the subject of many trade rumors as of late as Miami Heat is reportedly preparing to join the Kevin Durant sweepstakes next summer when the 2014 MVP's contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder expires.

Sports Illustrated's The Cauldron listed Bosh as one of four "NBA stars who could be on the move before the trade deadline" this season. The other three are Sacramento's DeMarcus Cousins, Cleveland's Kevin Love, and Indiana's Paul George.

The article's argument is that Miami may be trying to unload injury-prone players which the team's roster is "littered" with.

Aside from Bosh, main man Dwayne Wade, Luol Deng, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Josh McRoberts are all known to be struggling with recurring injuries and Heat are reportedly trying to limit them.

But the main reason why Bosh may be on the trading block this year is reportedly due to Pat Riley's plan to open up cap space for the possibility of landing Durant, who is set to earn $20.1 million this season, the final of his five-year, $89.2 million deal with Thunder.

Bosh will receive $22.2 million from the Heat this season as part of a $118.7 million contract he signed in the summer of 2014. Unloading that big payoff would definitely create space for Durant while also keeping Wade in the team.

Actually, trading Bosh is not a new rumor as Fansided had already mentioned the possibility of this way back in May.

The recent breakthrough of Hassan Whiteside becoming a top center in the East might give Miami a sense of security in their frontcourt depth, which could make dealing Bosh a lot easier.

However, the problem with trading Bosh is finding a team who is willing to and can actually cover his huge $118.7 million salary.

A RealGM Trade Checker scenario suggested a successful trade between Miami and Cleveland, directly swapping Bosh for fellow stretch four Kevin Love. But this deal does not make sense because Love also commands a gigantic salary to the tune of $113.2 million in five years.
