'Winds of Winter' Release Finally Happening in Feb. 2016?

(Photo : Reuters) ”Winds of Winter” author George R.R. Martin declined to mention any release date for the sixth book of “Game of Thrones” series.

There are rumors that the much-anticipated book "Winds of Winter" release may finally happen in Feb. 2016.

The "Game of Thrones" author George R. R. Martin has always maintained that he is completely devoted to the book and has been doing everything in his capacity to finish off the book. He has canceled numerous public appearances and conventions so that he can give his undivided attention to the book.

There are reports that the book is finally finished and it was also spotted with a production team member of "Game of Thrones" Season 6. The television series is currently being shot in Belfast and a production team member was seen with the completed manuscript, much to the delight of the fans.

With an accelerated publishing schedule, it is speculated that the book could be out on the shelves by Feb. 23, 2016. Fans are anxious to lay their hands on the book before the television series "Game of Thrones" Season 6 premiere, which is scheduled for April, 2016.

Meanwhile Martin said in an interview to Entertainment Weekly, that fans should be ready for some exciting new twists and turns. He said that, "This is going to drive your readers crazy. " he teases, "but I love it. I'm still weighing whether to go that direction or not. It's a great twist. It's easy to do things that are shocking or unexpected, but they have to grow out of characters."

He added, "They have to grow out of situations. Otherwise, it's just being shocking for being shocking. But this is something that seems very organic and natural, and I could see how it would happen. And with the various three, four characters involved... it all makes sense."

Fans are hoping that Martin intends to surprise the fans by keeping Jon Snow alive in the book.
